Hi Robin and Dennis,
Thanks for your responses. The whole idea of passing the escape key to the
application is to close an open dialogue. This does not appear to work from
a script.
Am I going to have to find the close button and activate it?

Hi. It is recommended that you do not use this key. However, if you must go
to keyboard manager Jaws +8 then go to options. Arrow down to hot keys. Here
you will find hot keys that you should really think seriously about using.
If you must then arrow down to the escape key and check it. Tab to the ok
button. Now you will be able to use the escape key in a script.
Again, exercise caution when making scripts attached to these specific hot
keys.
