Can anyone explaine to me just what I would use Homer for exactly? When I installed it the only thing that happened was changed the way things worked on my computer then I had to uninstall Jaws then reinstall jaws to undo what it did. What would you use Homer for? thanks -----Original Message----- From: jawsscripts-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jawsscripts-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jamal Mazrui Sent: Thursday, August 26, 2010 4:43 AM To: jawsscripts@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Cc: Homme, James Subject: [jawsscripts] Re: EdSharp All, Please also note that much of these questions are answered in the documentation distributed with HomerKit, which comes up automatically upon installation, or can be found in both text and HTML formats within the JAWS script folder. It can also separately be accessed by downloading the zip version of HomerKit, http://EmpowermentZone.com/kitsetup.zip Jamal On 8/25/2010 3:39 PM, Homme, James wrote: > Hi Brian, > In XP, I would go to the Start menu, then to Program files, then the JAWS version I have installed, then Explore JAWS, then Explore My Settings, and press Enter. That puts me in the folder where my scripts are. I would find the Homer folder there and delete it. I would then get rid of any scripts and other stuff that start with a whole host of things I can't remember that include homer, edit, notepad, wordpad, msaa, and so on. If I were you, I'd back up that directory before getting rid of anything. Then, I'd get rid of everything, and bring back anything that I know should be there, like default.jcf, default.jdf, keycodes.ini, and any other custom scripts you have that are not Homer. There's no way for me to tell what you already have on your machine. If worse comes to worse, you can always do a repair on your JAWS and start again and change JAWS by handd back to the way you like to run it, then add the EdSharp installation. > > Thanks. > > Jim > Jim Homme, > Usability Services, > Phone: 412-544-1810.
