First, is there a reason why he is not using the latest JAWS 11 release?
For me, it is the only release of 11 that did not do crazy things on my
computer.

Are you sure that he does not have one of the Proofreading Sound and Speech
Schemes enabled? These can announce all kinds of spurrious information,
such as styles, fonts, placement on the page, margins and other information
probably only wanted when performing a thorough proofreading of a document.

There is just so much stuff in the world that, to me, is devoid of any real
substance, value, and content that I just try to make sure that I am working
on things that matter.
