Hi folks. Please excuse what could be a lame question, but why do scripts need
compiling in some versions of Jaws and not others?
I had to recompile some scripts yesterday for Jaws 16, the scripts had been
compiled in Jaws 2018. They worked with the exception keys in separate scripts
that make up the solution wouldnât work, it was like they hadnât been
assigned, even though they had.
So, I donât know if this was down to a compile issue or something else. It
was resolved by the user installing Jaws 18 and using that instead The same
scripts were installed on another machine with Jaws 18 on it and no compile was
necessary, and all worked as expected.
So, Iâm confused, and need to understand this compile process, what it
affects, why itâs needed sometimes etc...wise words would be welcome, THX
steve.
