[jaws-uk] zoomtext and Jaws

I seem to remember hearing someone say that you either need to load zoomtext first before Jaws, or is it the other way around?

I guess you may also need to take into account processor power and RAM on your PC.

Hi Dorothy,

I notice you are using Lunar with JAWS. In my experience Lunar
interferes with JAWS and had to switch to using Zoomtext. However I
have found that Zoomtest locks up JAWS when using Microsoft Excel and
Access, so I may have to try MAGIC as well.

Hallo and thanks I have recorded your instructions off on my small
cassette recorder. I have not as yet been into those Managers. I am a
bit nervous as I may make a mess of it. I will try a bit at a time. No
one around to help. Tony my Rnib volunteer now gone to France to
live, was good on the technical side putting on memory. He did not know
Jaws or screen readers. He used to turn Jaws off at first then
gallantly tried doing what Jaws key strokes indicated. so often Jaws
speaks instructions seemingly unrelated to the task.Tony had his fingers
bitten by Jaws so often
he would be wary. He would say before he came "I am not touching
JFW!
and I couldn't blame him. Jaws did awful things. However now I am using
Lunar to colour the pages in inverse Mode. Jaws should more stable.. I
say should. so maybe I shall pluck up courage and venture into those
Managers.
I suppose they are what is meant by utilities.. You know Tony himself
exported the files to my laptop a good while back and he sent them back
to my desktop where they were all in archived Mail. up until the day he
left for France he was looking for a Dbx extractor. he tried so hard.
However they only needed importing into OE. seeing all those Emails
coming back from the dead was something astounding. It meant to some
extent the Drive failure of my desktop last year was alleviated. Yes I
need to save things I know, So I think what you call burning to disc is
also a matter of priority.
Thanks dorothy
