Hi, I've set the accounts up now, so there is the administrator account which is mine and then there is also a general account which is a limited account. now I'm getting the opposite problem, I thought I wouldn't want jaws on the limited account but find that I do want the choice of having jaws available on the limited account as without speech I cannot switch back to the administrator account. when I set up the limited user account jaws was loaded but now I find that when I switch to the limited account jaws disappears. is there a way to make jaws available on all accounts whether administrator or limited? thanks, Husna ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mullins, Chris" <Chris.Mullins@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, April 24, 2006 8:20 AM Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: setting upd different users on windows xp proffessional Husna There should be a Control Panel entry which allows you to set up Windows lo= g-in ID's, 'User Names' or something like that (Ican't check as my work mac= hine doesn't have this). You can then set up the User-Id to have Administr= ator or User priviledges. If you have the 'Run Jaws First' checked, thenn = Jaws will start up when you switch your computer on so that you can hear th= e User-id and password screen that you have to go through once different us= er names are defined. I suppose you could set up something that closed Jaw= s down for particular user names but it's no hardship for someone to press = Insert F4 and cose it down manually if they don't need it. =20 Cheers Chris -----Original Message----- From: jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Husna Begum Sent: 21 April 2006 20:11 To: jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx; access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jaws-uk] setting upd different users on windows xp proffessional Hi, how do you set up different users on windows xp pro and is it possible to have it set up so that jaws 6.1 loads on windows start up and if you log in as the admin user but that if another user logs in jaws exits and they can carry on as normal? please let me know. thanks, Husna ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=3Dunsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=3Dfaq] ** or send a message, to=20 ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq This e-mail has come from Experian, winner of the UK's 'Business of the Yea= r' 2003 and 2005. =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D Information in this e-mail and any attachments are confidential, and may no= t be copied or used by anyone other than the addressee, nor disclosed to an= y third party without our permission.
