Hi Tom, The only 2 ideas that come to mind are kind of obvious i.e. to ensure that the screen is maximised and double check that you don't have a crazy screen resolution. I tend to work with 1024 x 768 as my screen resolution and I use 32 bit colour. Incidentally, what method did you use to get your archive.pst into Outlook 2003? One other quick thought... In the past, I've had a couple of occasions where I'd created new Outlook profiles and nothing would work properly until I had shut down and re-started the computer. You've probably done that in any case (either deliberately or just from shutting down the computer) but, if not, it's certainly worth a try. I did change the setting within the Control Panel so that the items were listed with small icons rather than in categories and I made some changes in Windows Explorer to get rid of some of the clutter but apart from that Jaws should work pretty well. You might consider investing in a copy of "Windows 7 and Vista Explained" by Sarah Morley Wilks and Steve Griffiths . At a cost of £30 it isn't the cheapest publication but I think it is a pretty good starter for Windows 7. You can get it from RNIB Customer Services if you're interested. Regarding desktop short cuts, it's pretty much the same as earlier version of Windows i.e. go to the Desktop and press Shift+F10 when nothing is in focus, then select "New" and then "Short cut". If an icon is in focus when you go to the Desktop, press Control+Spacebar to deselect it first of all. Although you don't mention which version of Outlook you are using, the main suggestion I would give is to clear away as much of the screen clutter as you can. Things like the Navigation Pane, the Reading Pane, mail preview, folder list, contact list etc are all things that you can do without or which you can get to by other means. The cleaner your screen is the more likely that Jaws will speak things correctly. Most of these items are under the View menu and some of them then have sub menus in which you choose their location or turn them off altogether. Hope this is of some help.
