Hi Susan, I don't have outlook express to check this, but I gather that on the security tab of the options dialog (on the tools menu), there are a couple of relevant check boxes: one to digitally sign all emails, and the other to encrypt contents and attachments. It's probably worth checking that both of these are unchecked. best wishes, David. original message: hi folks, for some reason when I'm in outlook express and I'm sending an email, it does not show up in my sent items folder, when I press alt s to send the email a dialog box comes up saying "you do not have a digital id if you send this message it will be sent properly but you will not be able to read it in your sent items folder, send any way" this message doesn't come up if i forward or reply to a message just if i send a new message. how do i know if my emails are getting out? best wishes Susan ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
