After you have made your changes to the view, save the document.
Unfortunately there is no way to lock the view in MS Word, it can change if
you retrieve another document that has been saved with a different set of
view settings, However if all the documents are authored by yourself and
you save them with your prefferred settings then (over time at least) the
view will not change.
Another suggestion is to open a blank document and make the view changes you
need. Then press alt+F and down arrow to "page setup" and press enter.
Then tab to the "default" button and press spacebar on it. You will be
asked if you wish to make changes to the "normal.dot" template, answer
"yes". This way you will start out with the correct settings on new
documents.

Regards.

  Good Afternoon All,

I wonder if any of you could help me please.

When I am in word, and I have checked the normal in the view menu, and
then
go out and back in again later, I find that it has returned to print view,
and this also happens when I remove the check box from ruler it appears
again when I go in to word later.

If any one could help me I would be most grateful.

  Regards
