Yes we all know when we are beaten of course nothing like sight. However if it had been column width there were in the past different setting for some than others I once could not get in the whole of a Date or time in Sent items or the inbox for example. so no idea theEmail lef.t just guess work a sighted User on Jaws list did a different setting for himself than for his Jaws Vip wife. also changing topic recently when finally getting the interceptor fixed between Lunar and Jaws, it took a young girl visitor with a mouse this end and at the Lunar Support a sighted person instructing, and then it took time, before that it was Driver after Driver ,but problem was the Interceptor my having Independent Graphics or Video card. It stopped finally the B.Sod Blue Screen of death!----- Original Message ----- From: "Tristram Llewellyn" <tristram.llewellyn@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

I understand what is being implied by this statement but it is not correct. Whilst keystroke do exist for this procedure one must understand that successful completion of the steps to enlarge the message window do require recourse to sight in a situation where whoever you are support may not have sight enough to complete a task for which it may be required t is pointless taking them through it whether there are keystrokes or not. Please note (for anyone who is new on this) that whilst most programs will remember the maximised or windowed state of any of its windows, this is not true of Outlook Express message windows and has been its particular quirk for years. If you find an Outlook Express message window is too small you can maximise it but once you close it and open another message window it will return to its windowed state. Microsoft Outlook by contrast does not have this problem. The solution is to make the message window as big as you can which Outlook Express will then remember. The keystrokes you can use are: 1 Press alt+space to open the system menu of the small message window. 2 Press down arrow until you reach size and press enter. 3 You are now in re-size mode. The right and left arrows will increase/decreease the right hand edge of the window. The down and up keystrokes will increase/decrease the bottom edge of the window. Whilst the above information is completely correct and keystrokes are there' this is not always sufficient for most JAWS users to effectively make a window big enough for the task. 1 If you want to re-size the window to its maximum size then the window needs to be parked in the top left corner of the "visible" screen. 2 The keystrokes for re-positioning of a window are alt+space for system menu and press enter on "move". The cursor keys will allow you to position the window but only with recourse to sufficient residual vision (something not always guarunteed among JAWS users) to park it in the top left corner of the screen. 3 If you use the above method you must be careful not to position the window off the edge of the screen because there is nothing to stop you doing that. All in all that is why I suggested to Rashmi that he enlist some sighted help, this would probably have taken no more than a minute and is a pragmatic and quick (if not ideal) resolution to the problem.
