With hind sight I think I had the same problem back in December on my lap
top.
With JAWS 8.
I cannot be absolutely certain as I made a lot of changes within a short
period of time, but my issues were manifested after playing with spybot.

Hi all,
Recently I have had a problem with my registry, as those of you who are on
the access-uk list will know, as I asked about registry cleaners on that
list.
Anyway, The problem meant that I had to uninstall spybot and reinstall it.
I had to do this several times, as when I tried to install the program with
Jaws version 8 running, it kept crashing. In the end, I had to switch Jaws
off and install spybot using narrator, and then turn Jaws back on.
What I would like to know is whether anyone else running Jaws 8 on an XP
home machine has had any of the same problems.
