Hi Adrian, There are actually potential benefits for both Braille and large print producers. Office 2007's default file format is a derivative of XML. Hence with a set of appropriate mask/map files, one can generate both media from the same file. Of course at the end of the day, it's still down to how well the original files are prepared, and sadly all too few people know how to use Styles and such like. George. -----Original Message----- From: jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Adrian Higginbotham Sent: 10 May 2007 09:54 To: jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: office 2007 Nothing. There are some developments but absolutely nothing that makes it an essential purchase for a basic or even an intermediate user to put this in some context, earlier in the year we undertook research and published a recommendation to all UK Schools that there was no significant benefit in progressing to either Office 2007 or Windows Vista in the short term, certainly not immediate 12 months. This being the case for Schools it is unlikely to be a different situation for a average home user. What's office 2007 got over 2003 say? What would make it worth the effort for a basic user specially if you had to upgrade jaws and pay for that upgrade?
