Hi Roger,
As a temporary adjustment in order to read a particular message, you could use
JawsKey+v to invoke the temporary verbosity settings. Press the letter p until
you get to the punctuation setting and press the space bar to change the option
to some or none then tab to close and enter.
The some option usually works for me.
