[jaws-uk] need help with my external hardrive

hi i had some days back posted a question on how to make my internal
hard drive external 1 now i put the drive into a external hard drive
encloser but when i connect it to my computer windows asks me to
format it i click on format now then if i keep the quickformat enabled
i get an error windows was unable to compleat formatting and if i
disible quickformat i waited for 15 mins but the progress bar doesnt
even move 1% does it take somuch time to format a 160gb pata drive
details about hard drive size 160gb type pata installed windows xp
home when drive was used as internal hard drive details of formatting
computer windows 7 ultimate please help me on how to make the hard
drive
