[jaws-uk] jaws problem

Hi,
how do you stop jaws 6 from not reading file names when sending attachments?
at
the moment it just says 1 of 20 or some thing rather than saying the name of
the actual file as you go down the folder when choosing the file to attach.
when opening files from the file menu it says the name of the file though.
and also what do you have to do to stop jaws from stuttering in PowerPoint
2003?
both these problems occur on xp pro.
