As no one else has come forward I will have a go. I have to say first that my
knowledge on iTunes is very limited so I may well be off the mark.
Answering your first question- if you focus on a track and press (Applications)
one of the items on the popup menu is to check/uncheck the selection. Is this
what you are asking about?
Your second question- in general if you delete a file from your iTunes library
it gets removed from your iPod next time you sync your iPod with your computer.

Hi everyone,
I bought a current generation ipod nano. I havent used itunes before but i
added a directory of songs to the library (itunes copies them directly to its
iotunes directory). But then I had problems enabling the voice clips on the
nano, i see the checkboxes on the summary page but I cant check or uncheck them
because jfw doe snot read the checkboxes that should be there (at least not in
braille). A friend of mine did it for me but I dont like it that I cant check
wether or not the voice clips are being synjced.
I have converted all my files to aac and so I would like to delete all the
ocntents from my ipod add the new files and resync it. Can i just delete the
itunes directory from the computer to accomplish this?
