Just to say that Robin's suggestion below seems the most likely. I used to leave messages on the server like that, and once they'd got to 65535 items I'd get that message and have to clear them all out. -----Original Message----- From: jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Robin Clayden Sent: 10 March 2009 08:49 To: jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: inbox query Paul, I don't think this is relevant to what you have on your pc, provided we're talking Outlook or Outlook Express here and you're downloading your messages from the ntlworld server to your local mail programme. This might be because your mail settings are set to leave a copy of the message on the server. With my ISP, I have a control panel where I can log in and create mailboxes, then customise how they function. This is where I uncheck a box which asks me if I want to leave a copy of my messages on the server. I have no idea about ntlworld or what they give you so maybe someone else with that ISP could advise, either that, or reply to them asking how to clear your mailbox from the server once you've downloaded them to your pc. Tonight, this went up to over 200 with the arival of new mesages. Having cleared spam and normal mesages I no longer needed, plus those mesages I sent to other folders, I am stil geting mail advising that my inbox is full only this time, I only have 72 messages in there which I don't honestly think is overloading my inbox. Please could someone explain how I can get round this problem. I believe I may have to change my outlook setting but am not sure how to go about this. Any help would b apreciated.
