You can created a new account thus:
1 Open Control Panel and select "user accounts" and press enter.
2 Press tab until you reach "manage another user account" and
press enter on the link.
3 Press tab until you reach the "create a new account" and press
enter.
4 Type in the new name for the user account and press tab.
5 Use the arrows to define the type of user account and then press
enter.
6 Tab to the "create account" button.
7 You will then be taken to a list of accounts including the new
one.
8 If you do not need to add a password to the new account press
alt+F4 and can leave the instructions here. If you need to add a
password continue to step 9 below.
9 Tab to "Create a password" link and press enter.
10 Type in a password at the edit prompt and then press tab.
11 Confirm the password by typeing it again in the seonnd edit box.
12 Press tab once more and you will be asked to supply a password
hint in the event that you do not remember the password.
13 Then press tab to reach "Creata password" button and press
spacebar on it.
This should complete the creation of a new account with password, you
can close any Windows left over in the steps above and attempt to sign
in under the new credentials.

Hi Susan

Thanks for that. I can see the security reasons for this process. So
I've
had a look and what I actually need to do is create a separate user
account
for the computer? So it would have a different log-on when botting up
the PC
from start-up. This is no problem and may work even better as it means
both
users will have separate accounts for using the computer. Now to the fun

bit, any ideas how I do this using Vista?

Cheers.

Barbara
