Hi Shirley, a captcha is a picture that has characters in it. You have to
put these characters in to an edit box. It's to try to prevent machines
automatically accessing your account as the pictures can be deciphered more
easily by humans than machines. Not too good for us blind folk, though. Some
programmes, like fireFox, try to help us decipher captchas. But, the problem
is that if it was too easy to decipher, then, the machines could do it.
Sometimes, webcites give you a chance to get an audio challenge where you
hear the characters you need to write in.

Tom

Hello Christopher,

I am sorry, what do you mean by solving a captcha!...

I would love to have Outlook Express on my new laptop.

Thanks,

Shirley
