HI George, Ron et al.

Isn't it in Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore?

Its getting on for 2 years since I've used Millennium, but I vaguely
remember going down the above route.

Yes George, M.E does have a system restore.  It can be taken back to where 
the trouble started.  It is on my laptop which hasn't seen the light of day 
for yonks.  I am not sure where you find it.  If nobody comes on with the 
solution, I will drag it out tomorrow and have a look.
