i did just that with playmonday when i first joined up ,and guess what ,it
made no difference at all ,so i didnt push it in case it was my old jaws
4.51 that was causing the problem . cheers tony

I have JAWS 6, and when a site has flash on it I press insert shift V.
This
takes you to personalised settings. You cursor down the list, or keep
pressing the letter F until you hear "flash movies". This is either on or
off, and you press space bar to change it. The next item down on the list
is "refresh flash movies", and again you can press space to turn it off if
you like.
The only problem is that you might lose something important if you do this,
depending on what the site is for. If it is a gaming site, for example,
and
you need to choose numbers, turning flash off will probably lose you the
ability to do this. I tried the Play Monday charity lottery, but couldn't
play the game because of flash constantly refreshing and making JAWS jump
all over the screen so I didn't know where I was.
Of course, this is an accessibility issue, and you could complain to the
site webmaster and see what happens.
