Hi Yvonne, you can remove both of them. As for what they are, Acrobat is for opening PDF files, and Adobe Air, which is, according to info on the Adobe website an application to enable web developers to create rich internet content. As you'll probably need to open and read PDF files now and again you may want to keep Acrobat, but, from what I read on the Adobe forum you can remove Air. Before you do it though, if I were you wait for some more responses, just to play it safe.
