Hi Angela, If you happen to be using Windows XP, you already have the ability to create zip archives and open some types of zip files. This is built in to the system. If, as I say, you are using XP, you can zip files as follows: to zip a whole folder: 1. select the folder you wish to zip; 2. find the "send to" item on the file menu; 3. Cursor right once to open the sub-menu and select the "compressed zipped folder item; 4. When you press enter on that item, a zip file will be created with the same name as the folder to be zipped but with an extension of .zip. To zip a number of individual files, do the same except that you need to select all of the files to be zipped together and the resultant zip file will take the name of the last file selected but with an extension of .zip. You can always rename the zip file as long as you retain a .zip extension. The "send to" item can also be found on the context menu, i.e. by pressing the "applications" key. Thank you, George. So, how is it possible to combine several of my own files for example, into a ZIP file?
