I just can't believe that. I enjoy jaws 8, it's a lot more stable. It supports office 2007, they fixed many issues, especially the dreaded outlook express issue that made jaws crash almost every time OE was shut down, Ok it didn't get fixed properly till the latest update, but it finally did get fixed, in fact I think that the latest jaws is one of the most stable ones to the point that I uninstalled all previous versions and now I learn that yet again something that used to work doesn't any more. Of course I will not download jaws 7 just so jaws could read messages in Yahoo! messenger automatically and as I said it's not such a big deal, I can and will live with it, just shame that so often something that works perfectly gets broken in later versions. I could get jaws 7 to work well with Yahoo Messenger, but not version 8 so at present I use version 7 as my primary version, switching to 8 for other applications. Version 7 was the first version of JFW to support Yahoo Messenger officially and it did a good job, it's a pity they had to spoil it with their so-called upgrade. I forgot to say that I'm using jaws version 8.0.2107 nad Yahoo! messenger v 8.1.0.249. Like I said most things seem to work fine except that incoming messages are not spoken automaticly, I can cope with it, but wonder if there's anything that can make jaws speak them.
