Yes it's very poor. I'm sure the form looks really pretty and well designe= d but whilst ever the authors use graphical pictures of text rather than ac= tual text, screen readers will not be able to cope with it.=20 Cheers Chris =20 -----Original Message----- From: jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Robin Clayden Sent: 13 October 2006 13:54 To: jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: Word problem Yeah, it says that it cannot transfer the objects from the layer window.... You can type text in this edit field or navigate using standard reading commands. This is the text area of an open document. The document contains 70 objects in the drawing layer. JAWS can only detect objects in the Text Layer. To attempt to place Drawing Layer objects in the Text Layer press Alt+Control+Shift+C. The document has 1 section(s). The cursor is in section 1. When I open it up in word, it shows the top header and absolutely nothing else. I sent it to one of the office girls and she says it displays all pages no problem. I have no idea if this is a jfw thing or my Office XP installation but the only way I can get help is if one of you kind folks on here would accept the doc as an attachment and maybe see what is wrong? I even tried to edit, select all and paste into a fresh Word document page, and it pasted in 346243 to the top line, and nothing else! Yikes!
