Hi Jamie, Yes, the attachments in Outlook is a particularly frustrating problem. I now use the Save Attachments from the File menu, and get round it that way. With best wishes, Keith -----Original Message----- From: jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jamie Cuthbertson Sent: 23 April 2008 16:37 To: jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: Word dialogue boxes Ken, I've had much the same as well. I have a suspicion that it may be to do with Word 2000 now becoming a bit dated but it doesn't make it any less frustrating. I've tried updating all my Office 2000 components but to no avail. I also get similar problems reading the names of attachments in Outlook 2000 when there are more than 1 attachment. I guess that Jaws 9 is not really interested in looking back too far and it may end up being a case of using Jaws 8 for some things and Jaws 9 for others. Cheers, Jamie -----Original Message----- From: jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ken Reid Sent: 23 April 2008 15:56 To: Jaws Users Subject: [jaws-uk] Word dialogue boxes All Using XP, Word 2000, and Jaws 9. The interactive part of dialogue boxes in Word are all saying blank, even when I know there is something there. This is most noticeable when I select "Save As". It says the file name is blank, but I know there is a name in the box. This is particularly tricky if I want to edit the existing name, eg to create version 2 of the same file. Also noticed the same problem in tables, when the number of rows and columns in the tables set up box reads as blank, but these always have some actual value there. Can anyone suggest what I need to do here? Thanks, Ken No virus found in this incoming message. Checked by AVG.
