Ian,

I'm using Word 2003 and have JAWS 8 and JAWS 9. I get exactly the same
information from both of them for page breaks - soft page breaks aren't
announced and hard page breaks are read as "page break".

HI David,

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, that only changes whether
JAWS announces the page numbers rather than the line that actually says
"page break".

Regards.

Ian

When in Word bring up the Verbosity Options with Insert V.

Go to the item beginning Page, Section, and multiple column. I
am only guessing this may help but it's easy to reverse.

                Hi All,

Using Word 2003, with View set to Normal, JAWS 8 would
announce "page break" when on that line.
JAWS 9 just announces blank line. Anyone got any
suggestions?

                Regards.
