Hi Johny,
You don't say which version of Word you have, but the following is NOT for
Word 2007.
It's a long shot, but just possible the temporary file created when Word is
running may still be there.
You will however need to ensure that your system is set up to view Hidden
Files.
Then in Word, go to File, Open, navigate to the folder your lost file was in,
and look for a file or files beginning with ~$ - That's a tilde followed by a
dollar sign. For example, of your original file was called "johny", the
temporary file will likely be called ~$hny".
Try opening that.

I need help quick. I've managed to lose a file I was working on when we had
a small power cut earlier. I made the document in word, and I believe there's
a way to recover lost stuff. Someone please come to the rescue. I'm desperate.
