Hi Robin,

Much depends on your printer. I have a Canon Pixma IP4200,
which is essentially one of your run-of-the-mill ink jets
bought from Staples for around £80.

When I go to Print from Word, on the first dialog where you
select number of copies, etc., there is a selection list
bottom right called "Scale to paper size". I select A5, and
Bob's your uncle. Everything is scaled down. Just put A5
paper in after that and you are set to go.

But remember, fonts will be about half size, so check with a
sighted reader before you run of hundreds.

George.

Subject: [jaws-uk] Word 2003, page resizing?

Hi,

Apologies if this isn't quite jfw related, please contact me
off list if
necessary...if you can help that is!

I'm pulling together a brochure full of articles and
pictures, and have
reverted back to jfw 7.1 by the way as it handles borders
and picture
sizes and positioning much more comfortably. Almost
completed now, 20
pages in standard A4 pages, but I've now just been told, the
brochure is
going to be only A5 size.

If I go back to the top, file menu and page setup, can I
resize the
entire document to A5 paper size? What then happens to my
fonts and
pictures etc, is there a way to scale down the whole thing
so my layout
is retained?

I feel I'm about to cry....

Kind regards,
