There was an item on our local news last evening that a police force in the West Midlands has actually prosecuted some people for using unsecured wfi's. Apparently the motorists had been parking outside people's houses and then logging onto their yfi's. The report said that newer systems automatically encrypted the wfi's but that the slightly older systems needed to be done manually.
