dear Barbara I had no sooner read your posting when I lost the connections
on both my laptop and Desktop. I Do turn off at night as weatherwise we do
have some sudden storms. However "Newly Fangled one, I rather think that
error message will be come familiar. I know it by heart. Bet it the one
ending in D you know cannot find Server. if you have 2 laptops can you
tell me then this Box, is your desktop wired in and the laptops via the
Wireless. Also on you laptops you have a card at the side of the laptop. I
was not knowledgeable and I should have especially as this Toshiba was
very expensive at a local shop shouldhave made sure the Option was for
the connection to be internal one. I find this card sticking out at the
side has little lights on it flickering. I imagine if you have a desktop
and a couple of Notepads then some-one in the house can see? I find myself
peering at a black box with Ariel's sticking up and hoping little lights
are on. What is your Belkins box like to feel? does it have three wires at
the back 2 thin and one thick. Mine is an Eddimax and I cannot say it is
reliable, but if my turning it off is the cause best to know. Good luck
Newly Fangled Babs.Dorothy
