it might be worth checking whether the preview pane is being displayed, as
this can sometimes affect navigation with Jaws:
1. Tab to the Organise menu button, and press it. (The organise menu button
is the first control on the toolbar, and is the next control after the
2.Open the layout sub menu. This contains options for the visibility of
various panes, and a pane is visible if it's checked. If the preview pane
is checked, select it and press Enter, otherwise just press Esc to close
Not sure if this is anything to do with JAWS, so please forgive me if this
is just off-topic: in the last few days Windows Explorer has started playing
up by freezing when I ask it to navigate to folers and files. I do use a
lot of nested folders, but it has never had a problem with that before. Now
though it crashes when I ask it to navigate, and does it continually, making
itself pretty much unusable. I'm finding all files from within Word etc.
So far it is handlable but I'd rather fix it and am worried it's the
precursor of something worse.
Can anyone advise me please?
Thanks in advance
