Alternatively if you opt for Windows 7 Pro or up you can consider XP mode and use Outlook Express that way. Just another option.

Thanks for that. I don't like the thought of leaving XP really. Best wishes, Joan.----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Hallsworth" <christopherh40@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, April 10, 2010 9:57 PM Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: Windows 7 and e mailThere are many free alternatives: Windows Live Mail, Thunderbird, Eudora, etc.-------------------------------------------------- From: "Joan Muir" <wjmuir.twadugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, April 10, 2010 9:19 PM To: <jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: Windows 7 and e mailSo does that mean we have to use Outlook or buy some other email program? I'll probably have to get Windows 7 on a new computer this year.Best wishes, Joan.----- Original Message ----- From: Alex StoneTo: jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, April 10, 2010 8:47 PM Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: Windows 7 and e mailRobin, I'm having no problems with ms Outlook and Windows 7. As far as I know, Outlook Express won't work, and there's no e-mail client included in win7. Just my two pence worth.Cheers AlexFrom: jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Robin ClaydenSent: 10 April 2010 13:12 To: Jaws-UK List Subject: [jaws-uk] Windows 7 and e mail Hi all,I'm reading up on how Outlook Express and MS Outlook have issues running on Windows 7. The default windows mail client on W7, is it ok with Jaws?Or is there a more accessible client worth looking at?Or even more importantly, should I stick with XP if I'm buying a new machine? This pc and the laptop are both XP Pro which is almost impossible to get now so if I bought an XP Home edition will it see my other two machines on my home network?Any feedback much appreciated. Can of worms I think!
