Hi Robin,
This is a contraversial one, but my opinion is that Thunderbird works very well with JAWS. Can I also suggest you update your JAWS 11 to the absolute latest, which is 11.0.1447? This won't necessarily solve any issues you are having, if any, but I like to think of JAWS updates as just as important as Windows Update. One of the improvements is Research It, where it's now one dialogue box, instead of two as in the previous builds.
I hope this answers your question.

Hi,

As always, you tend not to pay a lot of attention to stuff that doesn't
concern you... but now, I'm interested in many W7 issues and JFW, I have
the latest version by the way, 11.00.756 I think.

I've got Windows Live Mail working but I really don't like the bells and
whistles and the online networks etc. I'd like to have a contacts list
without having to sign in online, like the old address book.

So, am I right in thinking that Thunderbird seems to be one of the most
popular, accessible and useable programmes with jaws on the Windows 7
platform?
