Hi Val, the volume control is on the system tray, if your employers are prepared to do it, ask them for a headset with the speech coming our of one side and the phone call out of the other. I was a telephonist for 13 years and found this the best way. If I can be of any further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact me and I will do my best to assist. I have just switched to using a conventional telephonist's headset at work which has JAWS and the caller coming through a splitter box into one ear. The problem I have is that I need to turn the volume down on JAWS and I can't remember where to find the slider controls. Up to now I have used a splitter box with a volume control so that I could have JAWS in one ear and an audio machine in the other, hence the need for never having to remember where the slider controls were. However, the splitter box which the computer and phone now run through hasn't got a volume control and I am in danger of going deaf as well as not being able to hear the caller properly because of JAWS 'bellowing' when I perform any action. Please save my sanity! Regards Val.
