TWO PROBLEMS - HELP PLEASE! Hi All Listers, can anyone help with
the following please?

At work I am using JAWS 5.. . ., Office 2000 and Ms Outlook. When I read
some messages, particularly if I have opened the message, not read it and go
back to it, I get 'greater, greater' signs at the beginning of every line
which makes reading very slow and extremely tedious - any solution for
either stopping it happening or getting rid of it very quickly?

Secondly, our IT guys downloaded JAWS 6 and installed the latest version of
I.E. All was well with JAWS but when I came to 'surf' the net, as soon as I
clicked into any website, there came a horrendous screeching noise. The
screen froze and the only thing to do was to switch off and start again.
The guys came and uninstalled V6, put the I.E. version back to what it was
and reinstalled JAWS V5. I am still getting the horrendous "white noise"
(that's the only way I can think of describing the row) and they can't seem
to find anything. When they log in on their authorisation everything is
fine, but fun and games when it is my log in. Any ideas you bright sparks
out there. Please restore a lady's sanity!

Regards

Val Brown

Thanks George.

Pardon my ignorance here, but should there just be the 2 > signs on the
first line?

Cheers,

Mark

Hi Mark,

You are getting a rejection because your mailer is adding
two > signs at the beginning of each line, which breaks up
and invalidates the command.

George.

Hi.

I appear to be experiencing some problems subscribing to the Winamp list.
Each time I reply to the message asking me to confirm, I get the following
reply:

>> appsub winamp4theblind mark.matthews53@xxxxxxxxxxxx
>> 422B1DA2:2E04.1:jvanzcguroyvaq // eoj
Invalid number of parameters.

I've also tried sending the text the original message
supplied direct to ecartis@xxxxxxxxxxxxx, but still the same result.

Is there something I'm missing here? I don't think I've manually subscribed
to a freelist mailing list before, since both Access and JAWS UK were
automatically transferred...well, the latter one was at any rate *G*.

Cheers,

Mark
