[jaws-uk] Re: Using my Brailliant with Jaws

I can't get my Brailliant to work on here at all, I've had it set to default.

No idea what's up with it.

Drivers are all installed as they should be, I've even reinstalled them.

Thanks.

Sharon

Hi Sharon,

On the JAWS window, go to the Options menu and choose Braille. That should open
a dialogue which tells you which display is default, and allows you to change
it. It may just be that you have installed the Brailliant but the Focus is your
default display. Although when I installed a Brailliant yesterday, it prompted
me to make it the default.

Cheers Graham,

I'll try it on another pc that has no Braille display installed, and see if it
works that way.

I must admit I have not been in a situation where I have had 2 displays at the
same time.
This may be one for tech support at humanware.

Hi,

First of all thanks to Graham for your help with this matter yesterday.
However, after doing all Graham advised, I still cannot get my
Brailliant to work with Jaws 16.

I installed the driver, followed by the jaws driver then set the
Brailliant to the default display, but nothing happened.

My focus still ran as the default, so goodness only knows where I'm
going wrong here.

Any further advice appreciated.

Thanks.

Sharon
