Hi Ken, I use Spamfighter, which I find very good, it is free and has stopped around 20 or so a day, the odd one or two creep through but in general I find it really good. You should be able to find it by searching for it in Google, or there may be a link at the bottom of this email. Hope this helps. Kind regards, Michael. ----- Original Message ----- From: Ken Reid To: JAWS Users Sent: Saturday, December 08, 2007 8:43 PM Subject: [jaws-uk] Unwanted e-mail All I hope someone can help, I am getting increasingly fed up with the amount of unwanted e-mail hitting my in box, and other filtered folders. Much of it is addressed to my e-mail account (that bit after the @) but not to my name (the bit before). I want to set Outlook Express to just receive e-mail addressed to my name. Is there a way to do this? I have tried looking in the mail rules, which currently directs identified Spam to a dedicated folder. But since the definitions for Spam are not clear, I find some so called Spam is legitimate, and some legitimate mail is actually Spam. The mail rules interaction does not seem to be Jaws friendly, and I am unable to create a new rule. Furthermore, I am not sure I can do one to eliminate all names except my own. I also considered closing my account, and creating a new one. This would work for a while, but I assume that the more I use an account in the public domain, the more likely it is to get picked up by illegitimate operators. So, eventually I would be back in the same position once more. Can anyone give guidance on the best way forward from here?
