Look for a file with the name which follows the tilde dollar, so if it's say ~$Fred.doc then look for Fred.doc and open it in Word. DO NOT open the ~$Fred file. Re-save the Fred.doc file, and there a good change the temporary ~$ file will disappear. -----Original Message----- From: jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Dorothy Ingram-Gorban Sent: 28 May 2008 00:34 To: jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jaws-uk] Tilda dollars Hi list in my Documents I have three Documents now called tilda dollar docs, they did not start out like that so did they become Corrupted somehow, are they rtemporary files? should I delete tham, if I agree to windows looking for a "converter it has no joy and asks me to install my Small Business file, but that was installed long ago. why does a file become a Tilda Dollar is it my fault?
