Notepad, (and HJPad) are plain text. That's what I always use. RTF lets
you have fancy fonts and layout, I think.
HTML is primarily designed for creating web pages, and if you know the codes
lets you incorporate links to other pages in the message. It's not worth
bothering with any of this stuff unless you want your own web site.

I though you had found a way of getting all your spellchecking done by flinging into Notebook or Notepad.. do they incidentally both use RTF by which I mean HJ pad and notepad. I am still puzzled that no tutor I met and they are not many knew much about HJ pad I can guess this is due to the fact they do not need it themselves.. Now if you were changing the format from your OCR which ever you use you have a lot of choices I had stuck to RTF but could just as well choose Plain text or HTMl. I do not know what Miss Word for Windows is and many of the others a huge choice and three typesofHtml why would you need such a choice. Thanks Dorothy.
