[jaws-uk] Re: THOUGHTS ON JAWS UPGRADES

Hi,

I am thinking the same. I have been a bit disheartened of the latest
upgrades, especially from version 6 to 7. The problem is that when a
new version of Windows comes out, I would have to upgrade then to the
latest version of Jaws, which is a costly exercise.

Andrew.

Well, I am a Jaws 7 user, but will probably not upgrade every time a new
one
comes around. the problem is that when an upgrade is coming out and
there
is something in it which would be really beneficial, I will then have to
pay
a large amount to catch up. I prefer the Kurzweil system where you can
upgrade to the latest version, even if you have missed the last few
upgrades. I am sure more of us would upgrade using that system.

I'll go along with Ron. I had Jaws 3.0 and at that time they were
screwing you with 4 upgrades in a year, so that's where I stopped for a
long time. When I eventually jumped to ver 5.0 I noticed a big
difference, but nothing since then has changed much for me, so if 4.5
does what you want, stick with it.
