Hi
Jaws 7.1, Windows 2K, I think there is a problem with my machine because
shortly after boot up I get a message saying I have unplugged my CD drive and I
should use a 'Safely remove hardware' wizard as doing this could cause
problems. I haven't touched my CD drive as it is not a removeable device.

Anyway that is the background and shortly afterwards I get the following
message:

JAWS
Error [6]: Feature is not licensed to run on this machine.

I press OK and Jaws continues but if I do an Insert j and check the Jaws serial
number, it is now set to 801 and is in 40 minute demo mode. I have checked and
I know that my own serial number was in place prior to the above message being
displayed. The odd thing is, that if I then unload Jaws and reload it, my own
serial number is restored and I carry on without any further problems

Can anyone offer an explanation of this behaviour?

Cheers
Chris
