Hi,

It's saying this because its telling you you can't edit the message, or
at least not until you reply or do something with it.

Insert 6 on the top row to open the outlook config file, or open your
default one if you want this done globally.
Set options, go to speech and sounds manager
Tab to edit current scheme and enter
Shift tab then right arrow to the Control Type tab
Tab to the list view
Press the letter R twice to hear read only edit=20
Use up and down arrow to see your options and set it to ignore
Save scheme button
Save your changes on the way out.

Hth,

Robin

Subject: [jaws-uk] Stop Jaws saying "read only edit" when opening a
message in Outlook 2000

Hi Guys

I am running the latest Jaws 7.10.

When opening a message in Microsoft Outlook 2000 it says "read only
edit" on every message when enter is pressed. How can i stop it saying
that? Any help will be appreciated.

Cheers
