Ok, I'm going to make a few comments to what people have said with
regards to this escalating situation. This is a situation which has
been on-going for some time. I am not in a position to comment on it as
I do not know the facts. My comments are based on what I see on the
list and what I am seeing is something which could shortly become a
cause for legal actions. This is what I am not going to allow this list
to be used for.

Some of you have quoted me as saying that the group is here to provide
support for people, I agree and I have never detracted from that
statement. I will also point out that I have clearly stated, and I am
not going to quote it, you can read it on a post from yesterday or the
day before, that I was in no way asking Dorothy to leave, that still
stands. I also said that I sympathized with her situation. What I want
stopped, as I again stated, was the naming of people and organizations
which again, I will state, could lead to legal actions.

Yes, by all means, continue to discuss the problem and suggest
solutions, after all, as you say, this is exactly what the group is for,
but the naming and shaming must stop.

This is my final word on the matter.

Steve,
You said, "This group is here to provide support to each other, it is
not a
play ground for bickering." Could some helpful advice/information be
given
to Dorothy to eliminate this "bickering" that has only been brought
about by
the frustrating lack of contact with someone who knows.
Many people have tried to help but it needs someone to bring it to a
close,
and I don't mean banning her or throwing her off the list that will not
sort
out the problem she has, she has paid good money for a product and
expects
it to the job it was designed for.
Where is the compassion on the list to help someone in trouble.
I'll copy again your words for everyone to take in "This group is here
to
provide support to each other,"

Phill

Yes, I think Barry has hit the nail on the head. I've had people
mailing me regarding the strong off topic nature of this discussion.
I'm not going to let this go on any further. It is not the right place
for such a discussion. This group is here to provide support to each
other. It is not a play ground for bickering. I therefore want this
topic drawn to an end.

No-one has vested interests in the group financially, or in any other
business sense. This group is neither a business nor a charity, it
simply exists to provide help to its members.

If you would like to read up on the purpose of such an egroup, I suggest
you read the freelists website at www.freelists.org

Dorothy, I understand you have had problems, I sympathize but you need
to take your grievance through the correct channels. This group is not
one of those.

Kind regards.

Ok, this is off topic, but I feel that it needs saying. I think the
proof
of this list's integrity is in the eating. I have never come across
anything on this list that even hints at anyone abusing a "vested
interest".
The list is simply advice prompted by problems. Every now and then, the

subject gets off topic, and George does a fine job in moderating in an
even,
inoffensive and concise manner.

Dorothy,

I have known George Bell for a very long time, and I think it is wrong
of
you, or your cousin Eric to assume that George would give advice, where
he
could benefit financially for his company. In fact, quite
the opposite, George, is more likely to give, than take from the blind.
