You don't mention what applications this is happening in, but in many 
applications the status bar can be turned on or off from the View menu so the 
first thing to check is whether the status bar is there for JAWS to read it. If 
the problem is happening in Word, you need to open the Tools menu, Options 
item, View page to check whether the status bar is on screen.

Hey All

I have this rather annoying quirk with JAWS where I cannot for the life of me 
get it to read the status bars - even after using insert page down. This 
function seems only to be keyed to the clock at the bottom right of the screen.

I'm using JAWS 7.10 on a Windows XP Network - so naturally there'll be about 
six different user profiles for me floating around in the system. 

Can somebody please help? This is driving me crackers!
