Hi Tris,

When you talk of remote access do you mean jaws tandem?

Yes, exactly.

There are some historical technical reasons behind this price difference, as
there still remains some additional cost in developing and testing for
Professional windows environment. The other component in the price difference
reflects an additional cost in supporting Professional window environments over
those for domestic (home) user's.

One feature unique to JAWS Professional is the Remote Access and CITRIX support
options.

Hi Tris,

So what you're saying is that Jaws standard can't work on a pc or laptop that
is running a professional version of MicroSoft Windows.

If so, how come?

JAWS professional can run on both Home Windows and Professional Windows
products. Conversely if you have a JAWS standard you may run on the Windows
Home products like XP Home but not on Windows XP Professional among other
Professional/Business versions of Windows.

Most new PCs and laptops will be shipped with Windows Home operating systems so
for most new user's domestic users this distinction should not be an issue
anymore as there is little reason other than feature set to have a Professional
operating system as an average user.

Frequently user's also get confused with Home/Student/Professional versions of
Microsoft Office. Let me make it clear that it does NOT matter which edition
of JAWS you have in this respect. You could be using Office Ultimate with a
JAWS standard license.

I hope that clarifies some points.

Regards.
