The shortcut key is control+shift+8 (on the number row) to toggle the
show/hiding of formatting marks. Generally it is not recomended to use MS
Word as email editor in Outlook for a Jaws user, however if it seems to work
fair enough, though generally access is less problematic when you use the
native Outlook editor.

Hi Steve,

It sounds like you are using Word as your e-mail editor, and
have turned on Formatting Marks.

Go to Tools, Options, and make sure you are on the View Tab.
Tab down to the Formatting marks section, and make sure that
none of the check boxes in this section are checked. Click
on OK.

All being well, you will be back to a normal view.

Subject: [jaws-uk] Space markers & paragraph markers
in Outlook

I am a Windows XP user with Jaws 6.

I have a problem when writing e-mails in outlook.

Somehow I have managed to lock on space markers and
paragraph markers.

The effect is that Jaws announces these words
between each and every word.

Can anyone advice how to fix this frustrating

Thanks in advance
