Thanks for that, David. So could I have selected the erroneous bit and used control and 1 to make it single? 


Also, how would I get Jaws to tell me I had used double spacing?

Control and 1 is single spacing
Control and 2 is double spacing
Control and 5 is 1.5 spacing

This error sometimes occurs when using shift and ! " % signs

Hi, Folks,

Can someone please tell me how to change to double spacing from single?
Using MS Word. I sent a letter to my sister and she told me that for part of 
it I was in double spacing. When I arrowed down it there was no indication
that there were blank lines, so how would I have known?

Also, how did I manage to change to double spacing and then back to single
without my knowing? Is there a keystroke for doing this?

This sounds so garbled but I'm sure someone will put me right here.
