Hi Phill,

Still not working.

Typed in Jan in B1 and Feb in c1. Went back. Then, typed alt-e and then I.
Then, S. Now on series, doesn't seem to recognise this as a date series. If hit
enter, says a1 through m1 as expected so seems that I am selecting the right
cells.

What am I missing?

Tom

Type into cell either in row or column, Jan next cell Feb., go back to cell
with Jan in and select all 12 cells or more you want then press Alt +E +I +S
tab to Type press F press enter job done.

This also works for numbers, days, etc.

Would someone remind me how you do an autofill in excel to get a date
series, Jan, Feb... using keyboard?

    Thanks,

    Tom
