Thanks for that but it was in the system tray and I suppose doing it's job, did you get in the patch with it running? If I could have caught the error number I may have had a clue, by the way I was quite sober and definitely heard Woof. I think I will still keep it for a while Thanks

Dorothy
That scotty on patrol message is from win patrol, which you can disable if
it gets in the way from the system tray icon using insert F11. Right click
on this and choose exit program and you should be good to go.
I've noticed you mention this or something similar the other day but didn't
have win patrol then, so didn't have the foggiest.
Hope this solves that particular problem anyway
I don't want to make a whole thread out of this, but wanted to let you know.
Erica.

Hi, It has been a long time since I heard the "do not send message, in fact
well over a year now, can you remind me how to get a fix on the error
number, I have never managed this. Yesterday after Jaws update finally got
past the Scottie on Patrol who put up a bit of a scrap, I had an error
message, now I know in past many would ignore them due to the frequency of
such happenings. however since the message seems to indicate Microsoft
wants it to improve its service am I right in assuming the problem is a Ms
Problem and not mine? Those long numbers we used to see have become almost a
thingof the past when in Outlook Express and Ms Outlook, journalists used
to earn a living writing about them, Remember BootCamp in the Telegraph?
